Spanish techno mainstay COYU makes a full Pets debut under his fledgling HASSLER alias, bringing two slabs of unique tribal funk in ‘You Got Me’ and ‘Love Boat Samba’.

Using a solid 4-4 backbone, Hassler chops the vocal on ‘You Got Me', anchoring it to his relentless kick and a fiery background mesh of layered percussion, rigid drums & nuanced rhythmic changes. Stripped back and fidgety, You Got Me is a restless peak time thumper.

Love Boat Samba rolls out the energetic, tribal-soaked drum patterns that peppered Hassler recent work for Mele’s Club Bad label. A funked-out oscillating beat is peppered with drum machine breaks and double claps, seeing the track nestling somewhere between warm house and heads down, machine-loving techno.

Two fun-but-feisty, heads-down jams as fit for the 3am club sweat as it is the sun-drenched boat parties. And a perfect match for the dancefloor sensibilities of Pets Recordings’ diverse and ever-expanding roster.
